Dr Auditi Naziat is a NHS and Private Endocrine Consultant, the Clinical lead, and Research lead at the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology, Great Western Hospital, Swindon. She completed her Diabetes & Endocrinology Higher Specialist training in Oxford. She has received a Clinical Excellence Award for her outstanding contribution in service development.
She is the Training Programme Director for Diabetes & Endocrinology for the Severn deanery; Educational Supervisors’ Lead for Post Graduate Medical Education, Great Western Hospital Academy; Royal college of Physicians accredited Medical Educator; Chairs Severn regional Primary Aldosteronism Multidisciplinary Team Meeting.
Young-onset Hypertension and Multi-Drug-Resistant Hypertensive, providing structured and holistic care. This clinic is unique across the region.
BAX24 trial- Dr Naziat is one of the principal investigators for the BAX24 trial in the UK (RCT double-blind placebo-controlled multinational clinical trial sponsored by Astra Zeneca) to assess the effectiveness of Baxdrostat (new BP medication) in blood pressure control in resistant hypertension.
WAVE trial- Secondary hypertension clinic in Great Western hospital is one of the patient identification centres for WAVE trail, a prospective randomised trial comparing radiofrequency ablation With laparoscopic Adrenalectomy as an alternatiVE treatment for unilateral asymmetric primary aldosteronism, sponsored by Queen Mary University of London.
Addison’s disease (steroid hormone deficiency), Cushing’s syndrome (excessive steroid hormone), Phaeochromocytoma (excess adrenaline hormone), Conn’s syndrome (high Aldosterone hormone)
Dr Naziat is one of the Principal Investigators for HyperAID study (Hydrocortisone versus Prednisolone for Treatment of Adrenal Insufficiency Disease, sponsored by Imperial College London)

Consultations appointments are based on clinical need and patient convenience.
Initial appointments are normally carried out face-to-face in the Shalbourne private suite, The Great Western Hospital, Swindon, SN3 6BB.
